Principal Conductor - Zun-Hin WOO

Zun-Hin WOO received his Bachelor's degree in Music in Violin Performance studying under Professor Michael Ma at the University of Oklahoma.  He later went on to pursue a Master's degree in Orchestral Conducting at the University of Missouri-Columbia under the guidance of Edward Dolbashian.  During this time, he co-founded the MU Chamber Soloists, served as the assistant conductor of the Columbia Civic Orchestra for three years and conducted operas and musicals throughout the region. He also participated in the Pierre Monteux School for Conductors for two summers. 

 

Woo is currently a violinist with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, conducts at various schools in the territory and also teaches conducting.  In July 2003, he recorded the soundtrack for the movie Heroic Duo with the Shenzhen Symphony. He has been music director of the Hong Kong Medical Association Orchestra since 2002 and his performances with them have been broadcast live on TV and RTHK.

Woo has been appointed as Principal Conductor of Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra since 2008.
